I want to thank everyone who supported me during mycharity: water campaign and those who donated their hard earned money to help end the water crisis. With your help, we raised a total of $599. The money we raise was pooled together with other mycharity: water campaigns and sent out into the field in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Cote d’Ivoire.
According to charity: water, their local partner, Action Against Hunger (ACF), in the DRC is busy implementing distribution points on small scale pumped systems and gravity flow systems. They’re also building spring protection systems and rainwater catchments. In Cote d’Ivoire, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is drilling new boreholes and rehabilitating non-charity: water projects!
On a separate note, I have some wonderful news to share. A few weeks ago our daughter was born! Her name is Marilyn Rachel and she is amazing. She loves to giggle when Daddy gives her raspberries and is very interested in the art of napping. Hopefully, after winter, and when she gets a bit bigger, we’ll be able to pick up where I left off on my campaign!
